Cosplay foam!! - Oh, I see that some people noted it's not heavy duty and can't take battle damage. sure. it is lightweight, but it is easy to work with and looks great after you paint it. I guess it depends on what kind of armor piece you need to make. I made an ornamental, non-weight bearing, not-going-to-smack-with-stick piece, and worked wonderfully for that. Easy to glue with rubber cement. I did not use a heat gun for this build.
Good source for EVA foam

I definitely would not purchase this mat for camping or exercise use. It seems like it would go flat very fast and not offer much cushioning. That being said, I purchased this mat for foam armor making, and it is working well for that. It's my first go at making foam armor, so I don't know how it compares to foam that more seasoned armor makers use, but it's working just fine for me.
I needed 1/4 inch EVA foam for a project and could not find it anywhere locally. Amazon Prime to the rescue. This is complete junk as far as an exercise or camping mat would go - much too thin and it would stay compressed if you even step on it let alone try to exercise or sleep on it. HOWEVER - three stars for a great thicker craft foam source! You have plenty to work with, it's easy to cut, holds its shape (I made two top hats) and doesn't smell weird. I plan to buy another as a backup!
