I purchased this bike about 7 or 8 months ago. I use it almost everyday and love it. Does my butt get sore? You bet because I ride at least an hour each time! But my butt gets sore no matter what bike I ride, what padded shorts I wear or what padded seat cover I use!! That is the nature of the beast as they say.

Getting in shape again

After the holidays I needed to get in shape again after gaining 8 pounds--too many treats and not enough exercise--and I knew I needed a piece of equipment that I could use indoors and that would fit in my small bedroom in front of the television. The reviews I read for the Stamina 5325 Magnetic Resistance Upright Exercise Bike were mostly favorable, so that sold me. Ordering was easy, shipping was fast. Assembly was easy too--I got someone else to do it, and it took about an hour. Although it does not have many bells and whistles compared to more pricey models, it had the features I wanted--it doesn't use electricity, it doesn't take up much room, it's quiet so you can watch TV without turning up the volume, it's a great price, it's sturdy but light enough to move to the corner if I want more space, and most importantly it gets the job done--three weeks later my legs (especially thighs) are firmer and trimmer, and the fat around my waist (where I gained all my weight) is melting away. You can use light hand or wrist weights if you want to tone your upper body while you're cycling. One caveat--the seat is wide but very hard and uncomfortable, so I had to put folded towels on it until I bought a 12 inch gel seat, which solved the problem. Now I can happily cycle away for an hour at a time with no butt pain. The control panel is very rudimentary--I haven't learned how to use all the features except calories burned and distance (all I want to know right now anyway)--but that's what you get for the low price. It uses two AA batteries so you don't have to plug anything in. Overall I'm very happy with this bike--as I said, no frills, but gets the job done. I look forward to the spring when I can wear shorts again and reveal my toned legs!

Really loving this product!

I didn't think this product would be this good! I figured at such a low price ($157) it would be a low quality throw away! So far I have had this bike for about 4 months and it is GREAT! I ride it very often and I am a big guy (was 275lbs). It is as everyone said in the reviews. Sturdy and stable, there is hardly any noise when riding either. I put it together in about 35 minutes, (it was easy!). It's just a simple exercise bike that gets it done! Only improvement I would like to see is a little better display screen. One that constantly displays the info, instead of a scrolling display. Otherwise a 9.75 out of 10 for me. By the way, it helped me get my weight down to 247 right now and I started in Nov!

Stamina 5323: The price fits.

Not a bad exercise bike for the price, but definitely not top of the line either. It has some good features like 8 adjustable tension settings, a monitor with 6 fitness programs and a heart rate monitor as well. I haven't had it that long at this point and it hasn't been used too many times yet, but so far so good as far as I can tell. The bike is very quiet when in use save for a tapping that the right pedal has on and off while in use. I'm not sure if this is considered normal or not since the bike seems to function fine with it, but I guess only time will tell for sure. Aside from that, I bought the bike based on other customer feedback and because I read that it works for somewhat shorter people. I am 5'1" so when the seat is at it's lowest level, it's the perfect height for me.

Quiet and fun to ride, but tension knob is difficult to assemble

This exercise bike is a great value, giving you quiet, smooth action and a good range of adjustable tension settings at a fraction of the cost of the expensive bikes.

Just as the title suggest, given the price the bike is a great buy and the benefits of using it are also great. The bike feels very solid and durable, which makes you feel confident about sitting on it. In regards to sitting on it, like most upright bikes the seat is a pain in the butt. It is just the nature of upright bikes and a good proper seat cover will fix that. The resistance settings and seat adjustment make it good for just about anyone. The bike is surprisingly very light, especially since it is built to with stand a 300lbs person. It is easy to move around the design makes it perfect for small confined living spaces or apartments. The computer is nothing amazing but it does do a solid job of logging your time, speed, distance and calories.
